Clinical Therapist and Supervisor
Owner of J.Callahan, LLC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor in Texas, and have the privilege of providing therapy and supervision in the Dallas area. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and my Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University-Dallas campus. My training and clinical career have including counseling clients at LifeNet Behavioral Health, UT Dallas Student Counseling Center, Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, Genesis Women’s Shelter, and in my private practice.

Throughout my work and personal life I continue to be inspired by human resiliency. By joining in the process of growth and healing I have learned that we are each living according to our best attempt at life. Unfortunately we may develop patterns that leave our needs unmet, interfere with our goals, and prevents us from living in a fulfilling way. Therapy is a chance to shed light on the factors that are impeding our success and to create more adaptive, authentic and healthy lives. With each client, I aim to create an accepting, encouraging and productive setting where they can take an honest look at their life and experiment with change.

Feeling uncertain about beginning therapy is natural. Caught in the pace of day to day life you may try to get by, or think “Therapy is not for me.”  My hope is that by accepting and understanding your pace, and priorities, therapy can be a tool that brings relief and fits in your life as you need it to.
