“Owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it… Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” ~Brene Brown~

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and am privileged to help individuals navigate through diverse issues that may inhibit them from reaching their full potential. I have clinical training and experience counseling adolescents, adults, and families, with a special focus on eating disorders, teen issues, and young adult transitions. I am also pursuing an eating disorder specialist certification.

I strongly believe that everyone deserves to live a life wherein one can experience acceptance, general contentment, and peace. Living in an imperfect world can inevitably create challenges that can be overwhelming to bear alone. Sometimes our past or current experiences influence our perspective and cloud the ability to see alternative options to how we live. I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and creative atmosphere in which you can feel supported and uncover inner resources to overcome challenges.

A core component of my therapeutic approach is mindfulness, or the ability to pay attention to our physical, mental, and emotional state in the present moment without becoming judgmental. With that, I use various strategies to help you understand that your thoughts do not control you. Upon interest, I can bring simple, yet powerful, meditative techniques into therapy that have proven helpful in addressing anxiety, depression, and body image concerns.

Lastly, I uncovered my career and passion for helping others after personal life experiences and having facilitated an evidence-based body image/eating disorder prevention program in the university setting. I hope to have the honor of working alongside you to move towards living a fulfilled life that you so deserve.
