“Just like moons and like suns, with certainty of tides, just like hopes springing high, still I’ll rise.”  –Maya Angelou

I love that quote by Maya Angelou. Her power. Her determination. Her conviction to rise above chaos to find peace within is awe-inspiring. I believe that counseling has the potential to help us rise to meet the challenges of life with greater acceptance and peace.

Life is messy, and can be tough to sort out at times. It can feel overwhelming, stagnant or bleak. It takes courage to reach out for help, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your unique journey toward increased fulfillment in your life.

I believe that a trusting relationship in the therapeutic setting is essential, so my priority is to help you feel safe and comfortable as you explore present or past issues. My style of therapy is empathic and non-judgmental as I strive to meet you where you are, not how I expect you or want you to be.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, with a degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. I have over 7 years experience working in various settings with children, teens and adults, and have recent experience working with children and adults who were affected by domestic violence. I am passionate about working with people who are processing major life questions and/or experiencing transitions related to LGBTQIA issues, divorce, break-ups, career choices, and faith crises.

In my personal life, I love creating, learning new skills, escaping to the beach, or just sitting at home with my husband and our cutest-ever, super fluffy, adopted dog, Winston.

Feel free to give me a call for a free phone consultation to find out more about me, or to get a feel for how we’d work together. I look forward to hearing from you!

Warmly,
