    National Certified Counselor

When your children are experiencing problems, it impacts the whole family! I have a passion for helping children and parents work through their problems and pain to come to a happier and healthier place.   I can help with a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns that you may have for your child, tween, or teen.  Each child is unique, and I use a variety of techniques that are modified to fit your child’s needs including play therapy, expressive arts, games, activities, sand tray, and talk therapy.  I will also work with you as a parent in learning how to respond to your child’s feelings and behaviors in the most effective and healthy ways.

Children express themselves through play, their natural form of communication. In play therapy, I create a safe and accepting environment for children to process and express their feelings. Your child will learn mastery skills to increase confidence and self-esteem and develop coping skills to reduce anxiety and help regulate emotions.  Through play therapy, your child will gain the tools they need to move forward with their healing and find creative ways to resolve their problems.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and National Certified Counselor, specializing in child and adolescent therapy.  I received my BA in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and my MS in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University.  My clinical experience includes counseling children and adolescents at non-profit agencies and in private practice for over 10 years.

You can contact me by phone or email to set up an appointment.   I look forward to being a part of the healing process in your family!
