Sometimes loss can happen unexpectedly, losing a loved one, a relationship, or even a sense of identity and purpose. Yet other times we see it coming when we enter into an unfamiliar life stage such as marriage or new parenthood and attempt to navigate the unique challenges that come with these roles.
During times of uncertainty or transition such as getting a divorce, losing a job or building a family, we often just need a little extra support along the way. Symptoms of anxiety or depression can emerge and these feelings can be both scary and overwhelming.
It is my goal to provide a safe space and to help you cope with these feelings. By learning to identify and communicate your needs during these challenging times, we will work towards rebuilding your confidence and achieving a sense of balance and peace. Most importantly, we will figure out what you want your future to look like and take steps to help you live your most authentic life possible.
Born and raised in Chicago, I began my journey in the mental health field in St. Louis where I earned my masters degree in Counseling and Family Therapy in 2008. Since then I have had nine years of experience working as a mental health educator and counselor in schools, agencies and private practice settings throughout Texas as well as on the east coast and in the Midwest. I welcome diversity and enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds. For more information, please call today to begin taking steps toward a brighter future!
